Anton Ovsyannikov
Born in Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk Region). In 1980 the family moved to Leningrad. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Art School named after N. K. Roerich and with distinction from the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin, painting faculty. His thesis work 'Baptism' received high praise. He was twice awarded medals and diplomas by the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts. After completing his studies he undertook a copying practice in Florence and completed postgraduate studies at the Repin Institute. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2004. His works are held in private collections in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Germany, France, the USA, and other countries. Lives and works in St. Petersburg.
